A construction worker is fighting for life after falling several metres from a worksite of a major Brisbane rail project.
Emergency services were called to the worksite at Dutton Park about 1.15pm on Tuesday after reports the man had suffered critical injuries from the fall.
The man was working on the Cross River Rail project – a multibillion-dollar heavy rail project involving several of Brisbane’s inner-city suburbs and the construction of 5.9km of tunnels under the Brisbane River and CBD.
It is understood the man fell about 8-10m from the Dutton Park worksite.
He was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a critical condition, a Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman said.
