A man’s been killed after his truck, towing a pizza oven, hit two cows on a remote stretch of Western Australian highway.
It happened about 10pm Thursday along North West Coastal Hwy in the Pilbara locality of Fortescue.
WA Police said the 23-year-old was driving an Isuzu truck, towing a trailer containing a concrete pizza oven, when he hit two cows crossing the highway.
The crash caused the truck to roll several times, and the driver died at the scene from his injuries.
“Major Crash investigators are conducting an examination of the scene and are appealing for any witnesses to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000,” a WA Police spokesperson said.
Meanwhile, in a separate crash in the Pilbara, a 31-year-old man was killed when the Toyota LandCruiser in which he a passenger left the road and rolled in South Headland.
It happened about 6.15am Sunday on Collier Dr, near Wambiri St, with the 35-year-old man driving the car, and another 40-year-old male passenger receiving minor injuries.
Witnesses to that crash should also contact Crime Stoppers.
