Two men are under police guard in hospital after an early-morning incident in Sydney’s CBD that required a major emergency response.
Emergency services were called to Civic Hotel on the corner of Goulburn and Pitt Street following reports of a concern for welfare.
More than 20 officers attended the scene where they found a woman and two men – all aged in their 20s – with facial injuries.
It is understood parts of the surrounding streets have been locked down to allow investigations to get underway.
The two men were arrested and are under police guard at St Vincent’s and Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.
One man had sustained a superficial cut to his neck, while the other man and woman sustained facial injuries.
The woman was also treated by paramedics before being taken to hospital for further treatment.
Two crime scenes have been established in the vicinity including one in front of the Civic Hotel and another in front of a strip of restaurants, Today reports.
