Two light aircraft have collided in Queensland above the Caboolture Airfield.

Emergency services rushed to Caboolture Airfield at about 10.34am on Friday.

Queensland Ambulance said paramedics were responding to a “significant incident”.

A spokeswoman said about five ambulances were deployed to the scene, and paramedics were assessing “multiple patients”.

The Courier Mail reported one of the pilots “managed to escape from the wreckage”.
